that's what i think. he is definitely one of the very best players in the league, yet some lesser players with more power look better under different scoring circumstances. it helps make great small ball players relevant.

Tell me something.....you got H,2b,3b,hr. If you get a single it adds to your H count. It's counted anyway.I just think it sucks to lose a whole point or game or whatever over a category thats getting counted twice.

Doubles, triples, and home runs all add to your hit count as well. There are a ton of great lead off hitters who don't hit gap to gap or don't hit for a lot of power though. Their strength is getting on base, stealing/advancing to second, and being knocked in by the guys behind em.

It's just a way to separate great hitters from good ones.

i luv bunting..i'm a bunter...and even tho i myself used to get doubles off of em..lol..pro's are not good enough..haha...so bunts wich are singles..should count
