Heard this song today! My first real girl friends favorite band! Took her to see them at "The Forum" in Inglewood (in the 80's).

She fell in love with a local singer (who happened to be married with 3 kids).

I joined the Marines and got sent to Okinawa.

When she came to her senses I had already been to mainland Japan, South Korea and the Philippine Islands. I had a Taiwanese girlfriend living in Okinawa.

It didn't matter, I was young and would not see the US for about 4 more years.
