I think it's great that you find comfort in god, but like I said, for me, I need the truth brother. I can't let a bed time story give me comfort. You do realize that everything that is posted in that link has been disproved right?

For example, the reference to Josephus about "Christ", later referred to the same man as Jesus, the son of Damneus. This is who he was referring to.

Church historian Eusebius later was found out to have inserted the term "Christ" in that very text. So not only did it come later but was put in dishonestly.

In all actuality, church historians have now admitted that Josephus is a BAD reference when trying to prove the existence of Jesus the man. If he did know about him, he would have wrote much more extensively of him.

See, I studied all these things you linked. I wanted to know for myself and know the truth and the Bible as a whole was re-written by man many times and many books were left out because it did not coincide with what the church at the time wanted to portray.

There is no concrete proof that a man named Jesus who claimed to be the Messiah ever existed and there are many references of supposed Messiahs that came at that time period, just to let you know.

Thats the thing it isnt a bed time story to those who have experienced God. Its more than a book of stories. Ill pray that God will get ahold of you one day and you will realize one day that what man calls foolish is the truth anyhow. It not about joining a religion its about having an experience with your creator.

Actually there is not much difference, sorry but you need to do your homework. Outside of the Bible, there's no evidence that Jesus even existed.

Also, my family does it in the same way, because they love me and don't want my soul lost. I get where Christians are coming from but it's just ridiculous when you look at it.

Do you know that the virgin birth, crucifixion, raising on the 3rd day, performing miracles, raising the dead, curing the blind and even being born on Dec 25th is not original to the Bible?

All of that was taken from previous religions and gods. When you look at the history of Christianity and all 3 Abrahamic religions, they are just regurgitations of other beliefs man, sorry to break this news to you but it's 100% true.

Now you can believe what you want, and I respect that. I understand it gives millions of people purpose and comfort but for me, the truth is much more important than "ignorance is bliss".

I'm not saying there is no god, I just don't take the Bible literally or any other religious book for that matter. All you have to do is study the history of each religion and you will find out how utterly ridiculous it really is. Talking snakes, living inside whales for 3 days, a great flood and the building of an ark, burning bushes......I mean come on bro.

So yeah i dont expect you to believe or anyone for the matter to take my word for it. You have to have your own experience which will bring faith in your heart to believe such things...
