For those who believe that pit's have this "locking jaw" mechanism, they don't, it's a myth. There have been studies done that show that there is no evidence what so ever that pit's lock there jaws when they bite. All dogs come from the same species and have no locking jaw mechanism. Also, there is no evidence that shows that pits have a stronger bite than any large dog breed. In fact, when Dr. Brady Barr of National Geographic (Dangerous Encounters: Bite Force, 8/18/2005) measured the bite forces of three dog breeds using a computerized bite sleeve, the American Pit Bull Terrier generated the least amount of pressure out of the 3 dogs tested, (the other two dogs were a German Shepherd Dog and a Rottweiler). Scientific experiments indicate that trained bite dogs (including pits) can bite at a little over 300 PSI maximum. Now for the wolf. I am sick of all these pit fanatics claiming these dogs can kill any and everything. No pit can stand against a wild animal like a wolf. Pits are trained to fight other domesticated animals (dogs) and wolves are far from domesticated. People have this missconseption that wolves can only kill in packs which is false. Wolves when threatend have no problem fighting alone because of how strong they are. Most dogs do not stand much of a chance against a wolf protecting its territory from an unwanted intrusion. "The jaws of wolves are designed to hold and subdue the prey. Powered by 1500 lb/sq. inch of pressure, a wolf's teeth are its main weapons as well as its primary tools", so they know how to use them in a lethal way. Not to say that dogs don't but wolves look for the one bite kill rather than the keep biteing untill weakend approach most dogs like pits do. Just like snoop said this fight would most likely never happen but if it were to, the wolf would tear a new ******* in a pit in seconds no question.

P4P the Pitbull is the strongest dog on the planet. It dont have no extra skin on its neck, or locking jaws either. Just the ability to take alot of punishment and still dish out its fair share. A Pitbull against any other dog is not even fair. The Wolf on the other hand is a big ass animal. Im sure out of 3 matches a pitbull of comparible size would win.
In addition to the "locking jaw" myth, it is widely believed that "pit bulls don't feel pain". However, pit bulls have the same nervous system of any other breed, and they can and do feel pain. Historically, those dogs that would tolerate or ignore discomfort and pain and finish the task they were required to perform were the dogs that were bred and the sort of dogs breeders strove to produce. This is the trait of “gameness” that so many breed fanciers speak of, which may be defined as, “The desire to continue on and/or complete a task despite pain and discomfort.” Therefore, the difficulty in deterring a pit bull from its task is in fact not an inability to feel pain but rather a desirable trait in any trained working dog. So basically, you could train any dog to continue to fight when hurt or in pain.
It is also untrue that the "pit bull" is the only dog that will keep attacking after being sub-lethally shot. Rotweillers, Mastiffs and German Shepherds have all exhibited this capacity — as, of course, have many humans

Rubbish. Benn had Barkley on queer street with the first punch of the fight, Pitbull is faster than Wolf, and when a Pitbull is fearful it becomes even more dangerous - striking first and the Wolf is never really able to recover.

That fact that you claim that a pit is faster than a wolf shows your lack of research (that's not meant to be an insult btw just what I am assuming).
Wolves are built for stamina, possessing features tailored for long-distance travel. Narrow chests and powerful backs and legs contribute to the wolf's proficiency for efficient locomotion. They are capable of covering several miles trotting at about a 10 km/h (6 mph) pace, though they have been known to reach speeds approaching 65 km/h (40 mph) during a chase (wolves only run fast when testing potential prey).[8] While sprinting thus, wolves can cover up to 5 meters (16 ft) per bound. You cannot possibly compare this to a pitbull, please.

                Didn't help Barkley against Toney.

Put a Wolf in with Skill, with a Panther or something, and he'd be schooled.

PS: You know, Dingos are indigenous to Austrailia.

I hate to break it to you but wolves are different than humans.....sorry.

So you agree now that a wolf would tear up a pit? At least we are on the same page now. Wolves weigh about 80kg or approx 175 pounds and panthers can weigh up to 90kg or 200 pounds and up so I would absolutly agree with you, a panther would kill a wolf alone, and since we keep changing species, wolves have been know to kill moutain lions, in a pack of course. Oh and just in case, panthers and wolves are also differnt species.

                      Thnx for k, K-dogg.
