He didn't before when he was down for a month. He really doesn't care.
This could be a way of sussing out internal enemies that may try to make moves thinking he or the family is weak.

A lot of his power lies in his mysteriousness and deception as well as his unpredictability domestically and on the world stage.

He could have very well had serious surgery and they probably don't want to show him recovering anyways to keep the myths going.

Well if the Supreme Leader were to have been sick from Coronavirus then it would seem awkward informing in his people when it’s quite possible it’s own state didn’t disclose such world news. Isn’t North Korea limited outside world news? It’s all secured with firewalls.

North Korea has been absent from this pandemic for a long time. I use that to figure out that the Supreme Leader is perhaps really spooked. Fat slob hiding from his own people at a bunker...and it’s the only bunker in the world with a crawl through McDonalds, full staff too.
