    read this...

"The solar wind has low-energy particles of about one hundred electron volts per particle, so each could possibly ionize a few dozen atoms. This is not of great concern. What makes this radiation problematic is that it has the highest flux of the three sources, about 10 billion of these particles per square centimeter each second. Each particle itself cannot do so much damage, but there are so many of them that the added damage is of definite concern.

Solar flares have between 1000 particles per square centimeter per second with energies in the ten millions of electron volts, up to particle fluxes of 1 per square centimeter per second with up to 100 million electron volts. Each of these higher energy particles has enough energy to ionize of the order of 10 million atoms. Even so, scientists have figured out pretty good ways to deal with this type of radiation, which consists of putting matter between the radiation and the instruments and people[/B]

we 100% require radiation shielding, when travelling through a radiation belt... you muppet
    Yes. Shielding is 100% required.
Low atomic weight materials such as plastic, wood, water, or acrylic glass act as shielding

Aluminum and fiber insulation are also low atomic weight materials.

The ship is made out of these materials.

So you agree the astronauts were protected now?
If they weren't. Explain how they weren't.

even in this revisionist document, which NASA released specifically to cover-up the "nope, never gave shielding a single thought" red-flag... NASA ADMIT that they did not design any radiation shielding for the moon landings...

    https://www.scss.tcd.ie/Stephen.Farr...unig/69-19.htm

Where does NASA admit to not designing any radiation shielding?
Just a simple quote will do.

Wonder where these guys are going then, when they flight into outer space 'I found another video, which stated that they where already planning a mission to Mars over 30 years ago' but funding was not sufficient etc'

Seriously our tech is so amazing right now (mind blowing actually) and we still can't send a man into orbit

wait, so now you DO think that astronauts require radiation shielding ?

that is a start, I guess

when did you change your mind... ?

no, the astronauts were completely unprotected

how could they be protected with no radiation shielding... ?

you, thinking that NASA " fluked " it... by giving it no thought whatsoever... is amusing

a tin-foil hat is not radiation shielding

Scientists and engineers have been working for decades on how to protect humans and equipment from radiation. It remains one of the hardest problems to solve. Some promoters of space travel feel that allowing an increased risk of cancer is not an issue, but this attitude is unusual. Even airlines are concerned about the increased radiation doses from travel, and prefer travel routes with lower radiation (away from the pole regions).9 Most space agencies are very concerned with the risks of radiation, and the effect radiation might have on an astronaut’s ability to function on an extended mission.

Molecules with low atomic numbers and rich in hydrogen tend to absorb secondary neutrons better and hence are better for GCR in which a number of secondary reactions will occur. However, GCR or its secondary radiation can get past mass shielding, unless the shielding is prohibitively thick – surpassing mass restrictions on a reasonable space vehicle. Continued advances in material science are trying to address this problem."
              https://www.physicscentral.com/explo...shields-up.cfm

if they cannot solve that problem today, how did they solve it 50 years ago Einstein?

does this thing look like it has any radiation shielding... ?

what other life-threatening problems did they accidentally solve?

here is the REAL point... FACT: the Van Allen belt protects us from the harmful cosmic radiation... so, How did the astronauts survive the deadly radiation without the protection of the Van Allen belts when they were on the moon?

I really need an answer to that question... ?

Alan Bean admitted it on camera.

btw, Bean is a aeronautical engineer and NASA astronaut

and get this... Commander Terry Virts (USAF), NASA Astronaut, admitted that we cannot leave earth orbit... because of the problem mentioned above... "GCR or its secondary radiation can get past mass shielding, unless the shielding is prohibitively thick – surpassing mass restrictions on a reasonable space vehicle."

Virts is a professional, doing his job... and his job is not to cover up wild stories that were told 50 years ago...

              here is the interview...

Well, that is a great question. The plan that NASA has is to build a rocket called SLS (Space Launch System) which is a heavy-lift rocket, it is something that is much bigger than what we have today and it will be able to launch the Orion capsule with humans on board as well as landers or other components to destinations beyond earth orbit.

“Right now we can only fly in Earth orbit, that is the farthest that we can go. This new system that we are building is going to allow us to go beyond and hopefully take humans into the solar system to explore, so the Moon, Mars, asteroids, there are a lot of destinations that we could go to and we’re building these building block components in order to allow us to do that eventually.

truth be known... it will probably require anti-gravity technology, due to the weight of the shielding

why did you need to believe that ridiculous story... you fkn hillbilly ?

Our magnetic field protects us from radiation by trapping charged particles. The trapped particles are called the van allen belts.
