Update on the arrest of Ovidio Guzman: Mexican military captured him and his elder brother Ivan at one point too. Ivan’s people broke him out of custody, according to ppl briefed on the matter. Then kidnapped families of Mex mil officials to force release of Ovidio too.

Mexico's president is now going to fight criminals and violence with an olive branch. He claims Mexico has become a graveyard in past administrations.

Mexico’s president, Andrés Manuel López Obrador, told reporters this morning that senior security officials had made the decision to release El Chapo Guzmán’s son – and that he supported it because it saved lives.

“The capture of one criminal cannot be worth more than the lives of people,” López Obrador said, calling the response to the operation “very violent” and saying many lives were put at risk.

“This decision was made to protect citizens ... You cannot fight fire with fire,” he added. “We do not want deaths. We do not want war.”

US news keeps it PG. they talk about the cartels typically when somebody important gets captured or when there's a big drug bust. Americans hardly ever heard anything about the gritty stuff like chopped up bodies dumped in public, the assassinations, the raping of migrants, massive firefights like this one at the height of Mexico's drug war. it's why we have so many dummies that want to open the borders to this ****. they're oblivious.

Mexico needs to request outside help. Here is an opportunity for Trump. Offer military training and weapons to the weak Mexican army in exchange for Mexico paying for the wall.
