  • The NBA is pushing the opening of the 2019-2020 season back one week, Opening day will be Oct. 22, 2019. A long wait ahead for all of us anticipating this season.

        Seems like it to me. A lull in the action between the free agent excitement and the start of the season. I am eager to see how this season transpires.

            3 months this is too long

            I don't know if I've ever been excited for a season to start as much as this one.

            For the first time in a long time parity is back in NBA.

            There are about 10 teams I want to watch this year.

            Last year I only wanted to watch 1 team(Lakers).

            This is going to be the best NBA season.

              July 6, 2019: The Los Angeles Clippers traded cash ($110,000 ???) to the Miami Heat as part of a 4-team trade, Maurice Harkless traded by the Portland Trail Blazers to the Los Angeles Clippers; the Miami Heat traded a 2023 1st round draft pick (top14 protected) to the Los Angeles Clippers; the Miami Heat traded Josh Richardson to the Philadelphia 76ers; the Miami Heat traded Hassan Whiteside to the Portland Trail Blazers; the Philadelphia 76ers traded Mathias Lessort to the Los Angeles Clippers; the Philadelphia 76ers traded Jimmy Butler to the Miami Heat; and the Portland Trail Blazers traded Meyers Leonard to the Miami Heat.

              July 9, 2019: Kawhi Leonard signed as a free agent with the Los Angeles Clippers.

              Essentially, in oversimplified terms, Blake Griffin and Chris Paul got Paul George and Russell Westbrook from OKC.


              July 16, 2019: Chris Paul traded by the Houston Rockets with a 2024 1st (top4 protected) and a 2026 1st round draft pick and 2021 pick swap (top4 protected) and a 2025 pick swap (top20 protected) to the Oklahoma City Thunder for Russell Westbrook.
