God can do everything, but there are things he won't do because they go against his holy nature.

      For example:

If you die without repentance for your sins and without accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, that means your soul belongs to the devil.

You will go to hell to suffer for eternity and no matter what, God will not rescue you from it.

Why? Because if God does take you out of hell, he would be a thief...taking what does not belong to him.

And God is no sinner, that's why he won the battle when he died on the cross by shedding his holy blood.

Holy blood, because he never sinned when he was here on earth as the person of Jesus Christ.

That's the only way we could have escaped damnation, that's why he had to die for us, because there is no remission of sins unless blood is spilled, and humanity's sins required His blood, because no ordinary men could have lived the life he lived until His Crucifixion.

I'm aware God that has taken certain people to Heaven and Hell and showed them what awaits at both ends, there are many testimonies of this, specially on YouTube.

Red - Nah Brother. With all the ills going on, i fail to see how the devil is a defeated foe.

The problem with stating this, is that it means - conceptually - that none of the atrocities he committed (or allowed) needed to happen.

Believers say things like 'God can do anything' then say things like 'there is suffering and evil because God wanted us to have free will'.

However, a god that can do anything can easily create a reality where free will exists but evil and suffering don't.

It makes no sense to say 'God allows or did X to achieve Y' because an entity that can do anything can achieve Y without X.

Believers and non-believers often ask, after some awful event, how a good and all-powerful god could allow it to happen.
Believers respond that it happened because of some other reason or purpose that god has.

The thing is - an all powerful entity could achieve that purpose without the awful event.

So the only possible reason why that awful event occurred was because that entity wanted it to occur. Which means that the entity is not a good one.

The existence of evil, and the occurrence of horrific suffering, mean that there is no all powerful, all benevolent entity. This has been known for centuries.

God would be bored as ****. He wouldt have to worry about saving us from hell.

Or God is basically schizophrenic. He just turns nasty and calls himself Satan. Or like Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde. Same guy...just moody.
Red - when is the last time you saw God do any work?

Red - is there evidence in the Bible to support this claim?

                    He knew, and then?

In countries where atheists are persecuted harshly, then yes this is undeniably true.

In modern countries, there is still a degree of persecution, but I don't think it is a major factor. I don't think it comes down to bravery as much.

I mean, it doesn't take bravery to know that Santa Clause isn't real.

But... if your family, your friends and your community all believed in Santa Clause then yeah, it might require some level of bravery to stand up and admit that he isn't real.
