Sad? No, hard to get sad for people you have little connection to. I was watching WWII documentary's and saw how many people were slaughtered and it made you reflect how worthless human life can be, and how barbaric people really are.

Hopefully the family of this young man have some peace with the verdict.

Haven't watched too many docs on slavery, but the slaughter of 50 million people I'd have to say is a tad worse.

I mean I always empathize with the loved ones of course because I been through losing a parent and it sucked. But yeah, I don't usually get choked up or anything over the death of a stranger.

Although last time I flipped on a 9/11 documentary program of some kind it did nearly bring me to tears. Something about the magnitude of the attack and the audacity it takes to do some ish like that, and the fact that I remember being in Brooklyn that day that makes it feel more personal than reading about WW2 or something like that.

Had to check Jim with that. That's the reason Jim said abortions shouldn't be allowed because one of those fetuses could go on to cure cancer, etc.
