Look at it this way, Leonard has had ONE 40pt game in his entire career, ZERO triple doubles. Why is that? Is it because he's not capable? Not at all, it's because every single time he's out there dominating, having fun, having a monster game, Pop pulls him. Pop limits his field goal attempts, his minutes, everything.

I mean if Leonard was on another franchise there'd be no doubt as to who the best player in the league is, it's Leonard. He'd had multiple 40pt games, trip dubs, that shoe deal would be a lock, the recognition as being the #1 guy, no doubt. The Spurs have sucked the fun out of bbball and that's why nobody wants to play with them.
    Just lol

Hopefully the Spurs dump his arse on one of the ****ty teams with a high draft pick

Then he can really know what it feels like to play for and with crap for his standard 58 games per year

Not gonna happen and shouldnt happen.

But also it wouldnt solve the issue of guys having the power to demand trades and pick destinations.

is he supposed to be like chuckbrook and take 25 a game?
Lebron's career average is 19.6 FGA per game, in the playoffs he averages 20.9 per game. Lebron took 23 & 21 shots per game this and last year's playoffs, Leonard has never gone above 16.8

Furthermore Lebron plays more mins, his coach doesn't yank him like Pop always does which hurts an offensive player's rhythm. Lebron played 42mpg these playoffs, Leonard 35 & 33 years previous. And to top it off Lebron actually has all star teammates, the lone year Aldridge played with Leonard he was not an all star, nobody on the Spurs was all star level, makes no sense to defer when Patty Mills & 37 year old Gasoft are your options.

Pre-Leonard the Spurs were getting bounced by the Memphis Grizzlies, Phoenix Suns and Mavericks, he transformed this ball club. They went from a 60 win team to 47 despite bringing a better roster this year, even OKC lost less games than when they lost KD. He's literally the only reason why they have a chance vs GS.

You tell me why a 33 year old Lebron was playing 42mpg, taking 23 shots per game while 25 year old Leonard was playing 35mpg and taking just 16.8 shots per game in the playoffs. Leonard hasn't been allowed to blossom, career 12.1 FGA with the Spurs, even Klay Thompson averages more for his career.

It should happen. Because it would break up sll the super teams and teams eould have to build through the draft

              It'd create a competitive balance

Literally everything points to it all being on Kawhi and his team

Forget the Spurs, he doesn’t even have a shoe deal atm because of his uncle
The players spoke out against Kawaii during the season and Greg Popovich told the media ask his team if he's coming back throwing him and his people under the bus. Let's not act like they are innocent and it came out of left field.

Well play off lebron is a different animal. But kawhis usage still stays high during the playoffs. Everyone can’t be lebron and play 48 min lol.

The reports of kawhi being healthy enough for the playoffs are starting to look even more true now. He’s soft

The Spurs run an antiquated, 2 big offense with bigs that can't even post up. The rest of the league is loaded with athletic wings, all stars, while the Spurs have given Kawhi Patty Mills as his 3rd option. Most of the time Pop uses Leonard as a decoy to get former 3rd string bench guys like Mills/Green shots, or a 36 year old Gasol.

Leonard's team never cleared him to play, the Spurs wanted him to play injured. There are a lot of not just athletes but people that have been medically cleared by their doctors but never fully healed.

The NBA is not a team driven product, its a star-driven one. The league doesnt win with competitive balance, it wins with its stars going deep in the playoffs. I understand as fans that this is what we like to see but its not what the league is going for.
