    I am curious too.

But it's probably like when you and friends called each other f*ags.

My argument is clearly stated. I don't see what point you are trying to make. Be pellucid.
turning a negative into a ''positive'' and back to a negative on special occasions.......sweet deal

according to AA's (and SJWs worldwide), nothing is more revolting than the n word. im not sure of any slur that gets the letter rule treatment !!!!

now, for them to find a way of replacing ''hello friend/pal/buddy/chum''

          with

''whut up, my n word ???'' is incredible !!!!!

Because they find it offensive based on who is using it. Why aren't you getting that? It's not that incredible to see or understand.

              offensive is offensive.

i would have loved to have been there the 1st time it was used in a loving manner

I said imagine the first time one of your friends jokingly called you a f*ag. I think it probably went like that.

You can't tell someone when to feel offended or not. It just happens.

f@g is too broad and you know it.

similar to calling someone an ''idiot'' or ''dumbass''

Yeah. It's broader than the n-word but it's similar in that depending on who says it to you, you may or may not take umbrage.

no other slur is simultaneously revolting and beloved.

vulgar words (bltch, f@g, dummy.....) yes. slur ? no.

                      i find that strange.
