I would disagree with you on that, bro.

By imposing fines on businesses who hire illegals you raise the money to fund this policy. No need to waste too many taxpayer $$$.

And you create an environment where it becomes much more difficult for illegal immigrants to get work. If they can't find jobs it dramatically decreases their incentive to come here.

The only problem I see is that some very powerful and influential people are going to squeal about it. They won't want their profit margins to get squeezed.

But so what? The U.S. is supposed to be a government run by the people for the people. It's not supposed to just benefit the rich.

They don't want to stop illegal immigration it's all a ruse.
If they wanted to they could establish strict laws on anyone hiring, housing, or helping illegals and withing 18 months all illegals would return to their respective countries on their own, without ever building a wall.

Undocumented immigrants were discovered working on his own construction sites during the campaign when he was going around scapegoating them at every opportunity. And when you consider that he built his fortune in the construction, hotel and restaurant industries (which rely heavily on their labor) there are probably fewer people that have benefited more from their labor than him. Not to mention the many legal immigrants in those industries who initially entered illegally but were later able to attain legal residence (which would have been denied to them by his own policies). Basically he's a complete hypocrite on this issue (just like with most issues) as he's profited from and played a role in fueling the demand for their labor.

Trump International Golf Club in Dubai is also being built with what is basically imported slave labor.

VICE even did an investigative report on it.
