He just turned 17. He was on thyroid medication for the last year of his life or so. I'm convinced that's what killed him. He lost all of his body weight. In his prime, he weighed 11, 12 lbs. The day he died, he weighed just over 5 lbs.
It was really bad because the rest of my family was on vacation and I was by myself, so I didn't know what to do. He didn't respond to anything, he was breathing and still alive, but he couldn't stand up or anything. I had to spoon feed him. I took him to a 24 hr emergency clinic to see what was wrong with him. They said there was something wrong with his digestive track, it felt inflamed. They wanted to keep him overnight. Run all sorts of tests to see exactly what the problem is. I had no money at the time.
They pumped him up with fluids because he was dehydrated and thought that would help, but it didn't, he just pissed himself.
I made the tough call to put him down cuz I didn't have that kind of money and my parents wouldn't pay for it. If I had the money I would've paid for everything, but I couldn't.
Damn man that sucks. Sorry to hear, now I'm going to drink
