why would anyone want to be governed by foreign bureaucrats they didn't elect or more importantly have virtually no power to remove? even if someone didn't know all the facts, the pros and cons of each argument, this should be an obvious concern.

There is a lot of instability in international currencies which will bolster crypto currencies. All signs are pointing to Bitcoin regaining everything it has lost in the last week. Which is great for people just entering the market because it's so cheap right now.
