Also remember catching a nasty ass cold afterwards that I couldn't shake for the longest. The Gas Chamber was kinda a blessing, because it felt like 10 pounds of shit got expelled from my head, and ended up on the front of my utility jacket. Looked like one of the Ghostbusters after Slimer.

But that, more than anything is because we were all grouped together like prisoners for weeks of inprocessing, at least at Ft. Benning.

The gas chamber was a blessing ONLY if you were sick at the time. Otherwise, it was nightmarish. It's all cool until they force you to unmask, then it's utter chaos. I mean it won't kill you, but it's not a pleasant experience.
