I certainly agree with your statement and we should be having an intelligent, open and honest debate about how some areas in the quaran are directly at odds with our values. The problem (how I see it) is that the liberal left is unwilling and is in denial of this fact and the far right is pandering to people's fears and are not framing the issue in the right way.

Sharia law is advancing in Canada at both provincial and local levels.
