I don’t subscribe to paying off school loans. Only way I’d agree to that is if we also stop making the loans in the first place. I suspect neither side will be willing to do that.

Btw. No one is giving an 18 year old 300 grand to buy a house on a loan. So why are we giving 18 years old these massive school loans? It’s nuts.

Now schools broke the 100k year mark last year. Why. Because the feds give the money to the students with no regard. So schools keep raising prices. And they keep getting the money be wise the feds keep fighting the checks. Wtf.

But out government (right and left) think it ok to give a 18 year old 300k for school. That 18 year has no idea wtf he is doing. Niether do the feds. The backs aren’t stupid however. Paying off student debt doesn't fix the problem. Colleges can just charge whatever they want if Uncle Sugar is going to pick up the tab. I'm all for tuition reform in state and city colleges. Private universities can charge whatever they want, but tax payers dollars shouldn't be funding those educations.
