To be fair police arrest people daily but the district attorney doesn’t file on them all. Police report based on suspicion the attorneys decide what is actually provable or actually crimes.

Personally I believe that hat trump did it hurts our security because it could cause an Ally to become an enemy or at least not be an ally anymore. Further it weakens the ally and an enemy may attack (Russia) and we are then dragged into open conflict in defense. In no national security expert though.
