Actually that’s exactly how it works in really court. All it takes is “he dunit”. If the trier of fact believes the accuser beyond a reasonable doubt, conviction stands.

That’s literally how all the child molest cases are handled. There usually isn’t much evidence to be had but the victims accusation. Domestic violence cases are similar. Accusers word vs defendants.

Now those are hard cases but they happen daily.
