I'm saying it wasn't as bad, at least for me.

      The Big Lebowski was awful.

      Rocky V 5/10
      The Big Lebowski 2/10

I have always felt that Friday the 13th Part VIII: Jason takes Manhattan was a superior film compared to Taxi Driver.

            Your mileage might vary.

I'm not a snitch but I'm pretty sure that its a bannable offense here to say something bad about The Big Lebowski.

Some of my favorites are the same as the critics, some are not.

I agree with the critics about these favorites of mine:

                Julius Caesar (1953)
The Hunchback of Notre Dame (1939)
                Letters from Iwo Jima (2006)
                Hamburger Hill (1987)
The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King (2003)
                Dark City (1998)
                One Life (2011 Documentary)
                Ride in the Whirlwind (1966)
                Macbeth (1948)
                Foreign Correspondent (1940)
                Ivan's Childhood (1962)
The Bridge on the River Kwai (1957)
The Treasure of the Sierra Madre (1948)
                The African Queen (1951)
                Fires on the Plain (1959)
                The Burmese Harp (1956)
The Silence of the Lambs (1991)

I know that taste in movies is subjective, but you really think that "12 Angry Men" was that bad? I thought it was brilliant, great storyline and great acting.

That said, there are movies that are universally acclaimed as good, yet I don't think much of them.

For example, I think that "Fight Club" is overrated as ****.

I found this movie to be rather boring and predictable, with a not-so-subtle agenda.

The movie is a prime example of pretentious, preachy, sledge hammer approach to pushing a message. From the very beginning one could figure out the ending robbing the film of any suspense. The characters were too broadly drawn to be believable, especially the role of Lee J. Cobb. Where is the complexity?

The explanations of the prosecution's inconsistencies by Fonda strain credulity and would convince no one.

Fight Club is another that could have been on my list. It was truly awful.

Also Donnie Darko was really bad, yet some praised it.

But then, I've always like serious movies more than comedies.
I'll look it up. Ive never seen Dr Stranglove.
