!VIVA MEXICO! is, in part, right. The absence of Dr. Dre as Em's producer coincided with the decline of his energy, writing, and -- most importantly -- delivery. Your song can be produced in your neighbor's garage and be off the chain as long as the delivery is on point.

Dre has "executive produced" every Em album, and the two albums he legit produced the most songs were Encore and Relapse lol His two worst albums by far

Ems delivery sucks in 2014-2016 cause he did Rap God, and thinks he has to Ra God everything now cause that song got such a good reception. But he sounds clusted, jumbled, and like he's just trying too hard and not focusing on anything besides being super ill lyrical miracle, and it's whack

He needs to work on his flow and rap voice, for the most part. Get those down again, and then you can start adding complexity. Without those, you're just blastin' through everything, which isn't what makes good music good. Even boxing needs a flow.
