  • Top 5 Denzel Washington Films?

I just finished watching The Equalizer, thought it was quality. It got me thinking, I've never seen Denzel in a bad film, what do guys consider his top 5 films?

    Imo:

    1. American Gangster
    2. Man On Fire
    3. Training Day
    4. Inside Man
    5. John Q

Never in a bad flick man, he's one of the best. For me I'd say

      Man on fire
      Fallen
      Out of time/flight
      Devil in a blue dress
      Training day

If you haven't seen fallen, watch it. its a great movie, better than man on fire, but his performance and the insanity of his character is unrivalled. One of the best characters ever.
I actually didn't like inside man or american gangster. In fact I hated inside man lol

I liked Book Of Eli as well, could maybe put it at #5 on my list instead of John Q

                    awful resume. overrated actor.

decent performance here, however. it's obviously unrealistic that one would shed a single, dramatic tear, but you've got to give the guy credit for crying like a b#tch on command. he maintained his swagger throughout the flogging and in spite of the man-crying.

hysterical movie, btw. 1989 was ushering an era of pure cheese in murrican movies. this one set the stage for the flying V.
