We wouldn't be able to have mathematics without a form of language. Without communicating our thoughts on what we observed then math may of never came to be.
I think of it as the ancient era scientists observed, although math is known as concepts from "adding" to "calculus" those terms were all made through language. We would to look at the etymology of mathematics, likely going back to when humans were first conscious of the use of logic and reasoning.
