  • [PLEASE HELP] Best Employment Agencies?

Alright so you all pretty much know my situation I was unrightfully forced laid off from my GM position due to not testing high enough for EXCEL.

I've been stressing and interviewing for the next several months. I landed a sales job that was commission based. I actually ended up doing pretty darn well already closed 37 deals since joining them.

They pretty much lied about how much I should be making. They said I was supposed to be making about 9 to 11K a month and I am not making anywhere near that much despite the good sales numbers I've been closing.

The managers are all pretty much coke heads who go on crazy screaming rants. I was aiming to just pass my probation which is another few weeks and hopefully transfer to a more stable department but the managers are making it really hard to even tolerate going any forward.

One manager started calling random employees and other managers into his office just to cuss them out and show he was the more dominant manager alpha male. Other co-workers claim he brags about hiring escorts on his lunch breaks and bangs them.

All in all he is a pretty obnoxious disgusting man and a walking law-suit.

I've been putting my resume back online and a bunch of recruiters have been contacting me but they are all shady and just give me the run around. Some of the crappy jobs they are contacting me for are like Afflac, Farmers Insurance and other insurance sales jobs that are 100% commission based, which i have no desire to even consider.

I also got called in to Apple One, Ultimate Staffing, Manpower, Hire Right, Elite Staffing, and Volt and they have all been a total waste of time. Just a bunch of ladies who promise to get me interviews for all these higher paid 80K jobs but when it comes down to it they say sorry the company is not interested because you are overqualified.

Why even call me into your office promising me such a good job without even having a firm connection or relationship to that company?

What are the better Employment Agencies in your eyes? Which Agencies got you some good jobs? Also which other ones should I avoid?

    Thanks

I have a list somewhere that I have to find. There's a lot of good ones. It's too bad the list is in EXCEL format tho, I'll have to convert it first.

i dont think so but in recruiters and HR's eyes i am supposedly?

i even lowered my pay requirements down to 50K some site even down to 45K just so they got the point, but still no bite.

this recruiter had this HR manager on the other end of a phone call and all he kept saying was why would a former GM work this job? over and over again?

I guess I'll just try to suck it up and pass my probation which is about another 30 days but hopefully i can land another job in the meantime.

this shady corporate bank wants to hire me the base pay is 50K + commission but you have to be on the phone all day harassing CEO's and CFO's to switch over their business to yours so its already a turn off. but that guaranteed 50K salary seems like a no brainer? I figure i could work here until a better job comes along?

About 6 months ago I was in a similar situation as you are.....I was offered a position that I felt was beneath my qualifications and I took it. I immediately demonstrated myself to be a capable employee; not once did I complain about my duties or responsibilities, on the contrary, I was eager to learn and to contribute to the success of the company no matter how menial my position seemed. I did, however, express my interest in advancement opportunities if they became available.

Just last month I was transferred to a very desirable department and was given a hefty pay increase along with other incentives. It is because my hard work, determination, my eagerness to learn, and my flexibility, that I believe the opportunity was offered to me over other workers despite seniority and qualifications many held over me.

If you believe in your capabilities and are motivated to climb the ladder to success, you will succeed in whichever company you work for. But if instead you are lamenting your situation-instead of being optimistic and determined-you will set yourself for failure. Work with what you have and build from that. Show them what you can do. Good luck!

thats good for you bro. im happy you bounced back like that and that the company recognized your worth.

im doing 12 hour days and im driving all over LA and not even getting compensated so i pretty much came to terms that this jobs totally not worth it.

im like only 60 days in and im now one of the top producers if not the top producer/performer yet i get treated like utter crap cause the rest of the team is not pulling their weight.

id much rather just get a hourly job or a salary job and work the standard 40 hours a week than the 70 hours a week ive been doing.

what industry are you working in? also where do you reside?
