Going on holiday to the US, can you recommend any good places to visit?

I've got a week's vacation in Missouri. Heard some good stuff about it. Anyone know where's the best place to drink? Anywhere good for cocktails, etc.?

I heard Detroit is quaint. Just make sure you wear lots of expensive flashy jewellery and you'll be fine.

visit Chicago I heard it's just like Disney, every night ends with the sound of fireworks
