                The first movement of Janeck's "Sinfonietta" calls for brass and kettledrum only.
                At first, Janecek had the piece in mind as a single-movement band composition, but he later changed his mind.
                Beethoven composed 4 marches, a polonaise, and an ecossaise for wind ensemble.
                Vincent Persechetti wrote a symphony for wind ensemble.
                Probably the best-known concert band piece is "Fanfare for the Common Man" by Aaron Copland.
