    It's possible to break handcuffs.

Watching the part of the video in contention I've come to some conclusions:

First this does look like an accident. If this was an execution then there were several occasions after they got the victim (yes, victim... i'll come to that later) on the ground at which point it would be very simple to cleanly kill him. Unless the contention is that the officer in question wanted to make it sort of look a bit like an accident by sort of letting the victim struggle out a little big and then shoot him on purpose then it wasn't a good time to discharge his weapon with the intention of killing the victim. It would also be an odd move to execute somebody and then attempt cpr on them.

    However...

What the fuck were they doing assigning just two people to move a self injurious prisoner that was known to be particularly strong? Who the **** brings a firearm into a prison? Why on earth would you take a prisoner outside on foot for transport to hospital? Why not use the sally port that they are right fucking next to?

It's a stretch to call this a homicide. I don't think that manslaughter would stick either. Negligence is almost certainly the charge that should be leveled here.

      Piggy? Really?

In that video, the kid breaks them by bending them in a way someone with them ON couldn't do. He also had gloves on to help him not get hurt doing so.

I'm sure it's happened, but I'm also sure it's extremely rare to break through steel handcuffs.

Also in this video, he isn't a threat. He's on his back, and the cop has his gun pointed at his face.

I agree that execution is maybe too strong a word, but he seemed to be clearly negligent and someone is dead because of it. I think too often we are seeing cops shoot first and ask questions later in this country and I'm sick of reading this ****.

Cops are for the most part ass.holes, I say that from experience. They are on a serious power trip, and whether it be negligence or bravado, they are destroying lives.

He may have been flagged as having that capability. But like I say it was negligent to have two people taking him outside a jail for transport to ambulance. Bizarre move.

A firearm has no place inside a jail. Far too much risk of an inmate getting a hold of it. There's a reason why prison guards tend not to be armed.

I have no idea why he drew his gun. But...

I agree that execution is maybe too strong a word,
You are absolutely 100% right. It clearly is not an assassination or an execution unless you're going to follow the conspiracy fantasist approach of assigning simultaneous competence and incompetence to the actor in this case. Competence because he fired a single shot that was fatal despite hitting the subject on the arm and incompetence because he did it in front of a video camera and then tried CPR right after.

but he seemed to be clearly negligent and someone is dead because of it.
There's a difference between "clearly negligent" and deliberate homicide. There's 20-30 years of difference.

        He "shot first"? Really?

Funny in my experience they have always been courteous and polite. Maybe you're the problem.

That's bull****! Assuming the guy could slip his cuffs to the front and become dangerous. What kind of officers are we entrusting with our safety if they couldn't react in enough time?

Yeah, because unholstering your gun, stepping back and shooting somebody totally looks like an accident.....

My "cool story bro" uhhhhh... story for the day.

I have seen people break handcuffs before.

I was in a group of about 70-80 I would say walking underneath the Sac County jail to the courthouse for arraignment, on my charge. There was others in for sentencing, parole violations and whatever.

Anyways, one of the trustees let it out that one of the people was in on a child abuse/pedo charge.

One of the guys I was locked up with on 6 West that was handcuffed and shackled broke free of his cuffs, and proceeded to put one of the most brutal ass whippings I have ever seen on the guy that had the abuse charge. He got a attempted murder charge on top of whatever he was looking at.

                    Like I said.

                    "Cool story, breh."
