    I was listening to this today, and - as much as I love McLaddie - I do recall an interview with Noel Gallagher where he said he couldn't believe he wasn't sued by the estate of T Rex.

    Prince did the same rip off of "Get In On" with "Cream", but this is far more blatant... I actually admire the sheer BALLS of it:

                I agree with you, re: sampling, but the intent is different. There they're upfront about borrowing another's work... in something like Freedom's (excellent) choice, it's shocking.

                  Not in the example I gave. They gave no credit & Enya sued them, but it was settled out of court.
