Hurricane by Bob Dylan is in the top 25 yet he's had dozens of better songs. And nothing by The Rolling Stones in the top 25. Gimme Shelter should be there.

Any list that has Nirvana on it (or any grunge group for that matter) instantly loses all credibility with me.

Not even a song from the heavyweights in the top 25 (ie; Pink Floyd, CREAM, Queen, LedZep, Stone Roses) if it was really from a UK chart base.

And a David Bowie song at no. 15 which IMO is pretty weak lol

With that list they should include Afternoon delight in the top 5....skyrockets in flightiee...

The Stone Roses are definitely heavyweights....when it comes to grossly overhyped, overexposed bands. Never has another band received such hype and plaudits for producing so little (with the exception of Nirvana.)

Yup all they needed was the basics drum bass guitar and a slide and they were good to go. Very simple formula yet effective.

Much like U2. The Edge's minimalist guitar riffs was Tom Morello's (Ratm) and Mike Einzinger (Incubus) their basic blueprint. Another heavyweight band often criminally overlooked.
