Ironic being "9/11" was a terrorist act committed by the US which killed over 2,000 people in Chile (9/11/73).

Simply, mind blowing when you go down to the facts and figures.

That said, Imperialism is needed in order to control the markets and resources. The west need to keep expanding. This is what its all about. The US aren't the only ones at it, you have Russia, China, Japa, many others. The US aren't really in a great position at the moment. The US have to fight to gain more control or there going to lose out big time. I recommend to read the book 'Currency Wars' by James Rickards.
Despite the rocky conspiratard start, this might actually be true.

What all of this is more than likely about is the hegemony of the U.S. Petrodollar. Not so much about the Oil itself as the Michael Moorer of the worlds like to say, but with what you buy the oil with. Every country almost uses and needs U.S. dollars to buy Oil with, therefore they stockpile tons of it. And because of the demand for U.S. dollars from other countries, imports become cheap. The present standard of living in the U.S. would not exist without the Petrodollar.

This is how the U.S. can print so much money and "Stimulate the economy" time and time again without any real HyperInflation/increase in prices here at home. Because a lot of those dollars are being exported and used elsewhere for the purchase of Oil. Imagine if all that money came back to the U.S. at once, our standard of living would be ****ed.

In fact, if you like the present size of Government and all the domestic programs, safety nets, welfare withthe low taxes to boost, you should support these efforts.

To expend on the above and the Petrodollar. All of this Syria stuff could be another stab at Iran, hoping to provoke them into defending Syria. What actually could be going on is that the U.S. wants to have control of the Iranian Govt and their Oil reserves so they can move them back to the Petrodollar and all this saber rattling is their way of doing it.

Quite a number of countries are moving away from the Petrodollar. China has made an agreement with Germany(which if I recall is the number 7th largest economy in the world) to trade in their own currency, not using U.S. Dollars. Someone posted a video here once about Iran selling it's Oil in exchange for the Euro or Gold. Venezuela is doing the exact same thing and this is where possibly, Syria comes in. Russia and China meanwhile, both of who are sending weapons in to the Syrian Govt, are looking to the end of the Petrodollar.

The question here is whether the U.S. really has been clever and planning all this long-term or whether it's all reacting to immediate circumstances. The Conspiratards would pick the former than the latter every time. But lets consider the Petrodollar again and what it has done for America. Certainly it helped establish a very large military (and also job security for Chief2ndzOnly). The reason the U.S. can afford such a huge Prison-Industrial complex, a huge Welfare state but low taxes that aren't generating the revenue to finance it, is because of the Petrodollar/Worlds Reserve Currency.

But then there is the fact that it also undermines domestic production. The U.S. has been slowly shifting all of it's production overseas because of it's Petrodollar. Replaced with more and more service sector jobs that both women and men are capable of doing. Why the usually necessary domestic production to remain a top economy, when keeping the rest of the world hooked on U.S. dollars can do the trick.

Respected 20 year Middle Eastern reporter and Associated Press, BBC and NPR correspondent Dale Gavrak was told by Syrian rebels that they were responsible for last week's chemical weapons incident in Ghouta.

                  I suggest people watch this.
