that's embarrassing on so many levels:

#1. He isn't going to stay. Dwight doesn't have enough conscience to let something like this change his mind. Lakers should have learned their lesson from the Magic who also begged for him to stay. He has such a big ego that he's probably laughing about this right now.

#2. Is it really worth it for the Lakers to re-sign him? He wants to be the main scorer on the team and he doesn't have the skill set to do that. He's a slightly better version of a Deandre Jordan where his real skill is mostly on 1 end of the court(defense). And that's not worth $20 mill. Lakers are better off spending that money on some other big name(Lebron?) or 2 mid level stars.

#3. It's a HUGE insult for a team with the history of the Lakers to actually have to beg someone like Howard to stay. If he doesn't want to stay with a team that has historical value like the Lakers then they should let him move on. This just put a big stain on the Lakers franchise especially if he doesn't sign with them.

They know he's gone but they just wanna be able to say they did everything they could to keep him.

Like I said, if they were serious, they'd get rid of MDA and get a real coach

They're putting up billboards to get Howard to resign when all they need to do is let D'Antoni go. Jim Buss is too stubborn to admit that he made a mistake in hiring MDA as a coach and will even go as far as losing a player that he really values instead of firing him. That's a recipe for disaster.
