other than the fact that it's physically impressive, and aesthetically very pleasing, the dunk is the most overrated act in american sport. it's two points. it's not worth shutting down the presses to print a story of blake griffin "throwin it down, young man."

You can't discount momentum and the impact of the home crowd cheering on shooting percentages.
