Tie between 36 Chambers and Ready to Die.

Biggie came off but probably lean towards 36 Chambers I can listen to it all day without getting tired of it.

Illmatic was ill too but I just like hardcore rap better.

Jose, I would recommend that to you regardless of this thread.

36 Chambers, no one had ever heard quality posse cuts like that before with such a high degree of stylistic variation. Nas and GZA are great lyricists but musically a bit too flat/regular in their flow, and Nas has never had the greatest consistency in his beats/instrumentals. The real answer of course is The Infamous.

Nah, you're fine. I like 36 Chambers better too. Cua isn't the god of hip hop. You can have whatever opinion you like. I definitely think Illmatic is an ATG album but so are 36 Chambers, Ready To Die and Liquid Swords.

            I've never been into Jay-Z.

Nas is my favorite rapper of all time. Amazingly, his songs from Illmatic can be heard today in Ipods as if his music is recent. But it's just that damn good. Illmatic songs pop up in my ipod on my way to school, that's the best part of the ride.

With that said, Liquid Swords is the GOAT album IMO. Followed by Illmatic. There's nothing wrong with that.

For me, has to be Illmatic. It has everything.

BTW, before Reasonable Doubt and Ready To Die, as far as East Coast go I would have to put Gang Starr Hard To Earn and Mobb Deep The Infamous in front of those two.

                    Liquid Swords
                    Illmatic
                    36 Chambers
                    Hard To Earn
                    The Infamous
                    Only Built 4 Cuban Lynx
                    It Was Written
                    Unfinished Business
                    Ironman
Mos Def & Talib Kweli Are Black Star
