Some of you are acting as if running out of oil would automatically make them go broke.

exactly, oil was just a jump start.

the next step after acquiring power is expanding it.

also remember sometimes brilliant minds don't want to settle for government jobs and go for where the money is at.

if money is what you you're looking for, Saudi Arabia has plenty of it.

the future's tommorrow, nobody knows what its gonna bring.

the present fact is that the entire world runs on fossil fuels and will do so for a very long time.

              http://www.imeche.org/knowledge/them...ll-oil-run-out

There are an estimated 1.3 trillion barrels of proven oil reserve left in the world’s major fields, which at present rates of consumption will be sufficient to last 40 years.

By 2040, production levels may be down to 15 million barrels per day – around 20% of what we currently consume. It is likely by then that the world’s population will be twice as large, and more of it industrialised (and therefore oil dependent).
We will never technically "run out of oil" the point I'm making to you which you seem to just ignore is that we need X amount of oil barrels per day in order for us to survive in a world economy that is oil based. To run our cars, factories, etc....

In about 40 years we will reach that crisis where we won't have enough to put out ECONOMICALLY so we can continue the way we are going. We have to invest in new energy technology.

Never said that, it's the reason I said they better come up with something else, all of us have to. We can't survive on oil forever.
