We have different interpretations of some of his lyrics then.

Idk, are artists making way more now than when they were selling so many albums. Seems like much more piracy these days.

More piracy but more avenues to buy as well.

Back then Pac was flaunting a few thousand in his pocket.

50 walks around with 25 grand in his pocket at any given time, Jay is worth over 400 million... Biggie was rappin about "sittin on half a million"... Ive seen 50 put half a million in the trunk of his lambo.

A lot of that dough is from other ventures especially with jay-z. And people seem to try to floss extra hard nowadays. There's certainly no denying the exposure nowadays. More marketing dollars, more people that listen to rap, more ****genous music, cross marketing etc..

Forget other ventures.. what 50 made off of GRODT was more than Pac and Big made in their careers combined (alive)

Tupac was starting to put it together lyrically on 7 Day Theory. Some of those verses are just insane. Me and My Girlfriend >>>>>>>>>>>>>> any song Biggie ever did. And I'm an east coast guy to the bone. But Tupac is just a more talented artist. Biggie had a better flow, though. Like comparing GZA to Snoop Dogg.
