              why are you saying that?

there was nothing racist about this movie - as a matter of fact, ROOTS by Alex Haley (one of the greatest books on this subject) is one of my favourite stories and a seemingly accurate work of fiction from a historical standpoint. Django's character, a hero slave, is something that I always wanted in a movie.

              I thought it was brilliant.

If its good enough for Timmie then its good enough for me.

Will check the film out soon, will just be careful not to laugh at any racist humor if I got some brothers sitting next to me

Its too early in the new year to get my ass kicked

there is some stuff that would be considered racist IF IT WASN'T A MOVIE ABOUT SLAVERY.

there is a link to a dvd screener in the other Django thread.

I never understand people that get upset about racism in movies. It happens in real life so why wouldn't it be in movies? Its just art imitating life.

Thanks for the heads up on the link. I'll check it out. I'll green you if I can

Django was good, but I liked Pulp Fiction and Reservoir Dogs more still, as well as Inglorious Basterds. It was still good though.

I'd love to see the movies some of these "movie experts" on here think are good.

As far as the racist stuff....it's a damn movie. ****e Lee was talking s**t about it, but when is the last time ****e made a good film??? It's been awhile....
