It was off the Coast of Japan(still dangerous).
About 15 minutes later another earthquake 6.2 hit the same area and then a 5.5 Magnitude and a 4.7 Magnitude hit as well. All within 30 minutes.

Originally posted by TBear View PostI figured that, it's why I said "still dangerous". I have been folowing the reports, glad the first earthquake didn't have tsunamis like 2011's tragic disaster.

Japan is an earthquake country. It's just troubling because it happened in the same area, which still hasn't recovered from last year's disaster. However the tsunami was only a meter high. I haven't been scouring the news or anything (you tend not to when you live here), but I haven't heard any reports of serious damages. I could tell it was a big one though because it went on longer than usual, although in Tokyo the impact was only about a 4.something.
