Very pretty.
All p229 models are in 9mm, yes yes?
P229 is 9mm, .40, .357
Only .40 is available in p229 enhanced elite in california but I wanted 357
Had to buy a .357 sig barrel
I can go back and forth .40 and .357 on mine
That texas shooting where the guy smoked the mass shooter wannabe used a p229 .357

So you could do it the other way also right?
Buying a P229 in .357 and getting the .40 barrel?
Been wanting a .357 since I saw this video:
At the moment I'm watching this beauty of a rile in .44 Magnum:

You can even swap a .40, .357 to 9mm. But that's a little more work.
You'd have to get new barrel, recoil spring, magazines, etc.
.40 to .357 and vice versa is simple because .40 and .357 has similar case dimensions.
.40 is a 10mm shortened.
357 is a 10mm shortened and bottle necked.
.357/.40 can use same magazines, same extractors, etc.
.357 sig is basically a 9mm size bullet with a .40 case.
It's called 357 sig because it's designed to copy 357 magnum 4 inch ballistics out of a semi auto pistol.
125 gr. bullet at about 1400 feet per second.

I use speer gold dots in .357 sig.
125 grain gold dot hollow points at about 1,400 feet per second.

Great info Tuaman. Your stuff is pretty rad and nothing beats having good ammo and a few magazines ready at disposal.
I was researching for statistics of the difference between a 9mm and a Sig .357 bullets, just to see if there's really a difference worth of the price:

They also say .40 or .45 dont make a difference.
9mm guys wanna say .357 and 9mm are the same practically and theres no point in .357 sig.
I dont buy it.

I assume the .357 Sig bullet travels faster than the 9mm due to the shape of the casing.
Also assume the barrel may suffer a bit more

.357 sig is a 125 grain bullet at 1,400 feet per second velocity.
Standard 9mm is around 338 ft lbs. muzzle energy.
.357 sig is around 544 ft lbs. muzzle energy.
