The one movie that comes to mind is Donnie Darko. This movies cult following hypes this movie so bad, but it was terrible imo.

I don't get why it is so acclaimed. I saw it before the hype and and saw it again to see if I missed something.

Don't understand how StarGate wind up being so popular creating a legion of nerds and a TV series.
