The Zeta Cartel invaded the small town my family grew up in.
A couple of years later they deployed the military to restore order in the town. When they were doing their sweeps, they captured several dozen Zeta cartel members..

The soldiers took the cartel members to the neighboring hills, dug graves and executed all of them.. The military told the town people to say that they had only seen the soldiers arrest a few of them....

I think it's safe to assume this is happening in other places ....

I'm not sure you can return to the old system at this stage, but it's probably worth a try.
It's the ONLY thing that will work. People think that these Cartels have just risen to power, they have been there for quite a while. Difference is that the previous administrations left them alone and Calderon went to war with them.

When they were each in their own territory, in control of their own area everything as cool. Even though it's been from good intentions, it's backfired and been for the worst in Mexico.

The problem is here in the U.S, something Americans will never admit or even think about. As long as their is a need to supply the country with the biggest drug problem, Mexican ( and any other countries cartels) will continue to supply it.

It almost mirrors the immigration issue to be honest, it's a dirty little secret the U.S wants sweep under the rug because it's a necessary evil so to speak.

There is nothing they can do...

This is an example of a market at its best. There is a demand for drugs so there is a supply. There is so much money involved in this thing that nothing will be able to stop it...The only thing that can make it stop is that somehow the per gram street price of coke drops from 100 (80) $ to 20$...This is when the profit margins will be small enough that it wont be wroth to drop bodies at the level they are dropped at now.

At the end of the day, its the regular American that sniffs the coke and smokes the crack. *well not regular but you get the point...

With the US getting tough on the border things will only get worse...The administration knows that solving the drug problem at home is simply not possible so they concentrate on limiting the influx of drugs into the country...This simply drives the price up, and John **** in New York still wants to do his rails on Friday night...

WTF is killing some cartel mans going to do? Some next guy is going to come in and take over......Or even worse...when you take out a leader that has a tight organization you break it down, so you have more factions....more competition = more violence...

Its ****ing pathetic really...I watched a few episodes of shows like DEA, some next show on National Geographic about US border guard....

WTF is putting some guy in jail for 9 years for a couple of ounces of blow going to do to stop the drug problem??? Its beyond stupid.

They book some guy with a couple of bricks of coke and claim that they caught a top level dealer and saved someones life? Its sad...There are 2000 other guys just like him in any major city doing the same thing...

All the billions wasted on this **** and nothing comes of it...

they need a whole new approach to this drug thing...

Ease off the borders and cut your drug enforcement in half...This will drive the prices down and **** will get easier.

War on drugs...Problem is..there is so much jobs and people relying on it that it is here to stay.

Every administration since Reagan conducted a study on the "drug problem" and they found it to be so deep that to solve it domestically would not be possible.

It appears that recreational and not necessarily habitual drug use are simply a part of American culture.

In Canada, at least half the population admittedly smokes weed...Hence in this country, because of the social acceptance of it, despite the fact that law prohibits...judges and cops turn a blind eye to small amounts of weed. I mean even if you get booked with a couple of lbs of dank in your trunk on your first offense, with a cheap lawyer you will get a promise to appear and walk the next day...And with 8000$ of lawyer fees you will walk on the charge.

But watching the American TV it appears that guys do hard time for having an ounce of just about anything on them....

First off it's not just part of American culture, it's part of culture all over the world. The difference is the hard line stance the U.S has taken as you pointed out.

In the U.S you get hard time for having a little bit of weed of you, they treat you the same way they would murders, rapist and hard core criminals. There are people in prison today for selling weed or growing weed that are mixed in with those people.

You can look all over the world and see that the harder stance you take, the worse the problem gets. Look at Portugal for example, they basically did a 180 on their stance against drugs and now Portugal is a country with some of the least amount of drug addiction and problems connected to drugs in Europe. It's no coincidence.

Like I said, here in the U.S it's just political suicide to want to legalize and drug let alone take a look at the problem from a true rehabilitation point of view.

That seems pretty expensive for the US and I'm all the way up here in Milwaukee. $120-$180 is the range for an 8-ball (3.5 grams) usually about $250 for a quarter ounce. The quality can be sketchy though because it does get stomped on a bit as it makes it's way north.

                  Damn really?

Here its 80-100$ a gram, and its been stepped on heavy, 1450$ per ounce (if you were to just ask around to get a oz)...But that fluctuates anywhere between 1050-1450$
250$ is the standard ball price.

But that's Canada...a brick here is US price + 8000/10000+

9/10 of them are coked out lunatics.

Soldiers maybe..........but they're just pure ****ing scum humans.
