This outcome is why people shouldn't take the law into their own hands. Much as some of you might deride the police and the justice system they at least have rules and procedures to follow which stops this sort of thing from happening. The trouble with vigilantism is that another group my use vigilantes to "punish" the original vigilante and then the initial vigilante group gets their own vigilantes together to deal with the second vigilantes, and then you have open war in the street, and when you charge the situation with a race debate it gets messy quickly.

This situation has been changed into a political issue. The actual truth of what happened no longer seems to matter.
