Weird New User Accounts Popping up?

I've noticed in some threads that users with a mar 2012 register date, will post some weird ass non-sensicle comments unrelated to the thread. I can't think of most of them, but there is one that i just now noticed that posts the same damn thing basically in each post?

Has anyone noticed anything like this recently or in the past?

Been going on awhile this,
Usually just accounts setup by scammers trying to build post counts then they link to there own websites,
Offering downloads or selling stuff.

They usually get banned pretty quickly.

I found this thread the other day. It made me wonder if the spambots have become self aware, because they seem to be communicating with each other.
