shows change all the time wtf are you talking about?

every show evolves, that's how they keep getting getting new seasons. if shows never evolved they wouldnt last long.

they can jump the shark like seinfeld, the simpsons, heck even a gritty ass show like oz can jump the shark.

even walking dead had a lot of problems with direction hence the reason why they changed show runners.

    settle down little b*tch.

the show is about zombies and surviving in a zombie world.

why spend an entire 30 minutes on people's feelings? this episode was like the floyd oscar fight. pitty pat drama then they finally decide to fight in the end.

      memo to show runners:

WE CAME HERE TO SEE ZOMBIES AND KILLING. NOT THEIR ZOMBIE WORLD METHOD ACTING.
Ahhhh, why can't we have some acting and some zombie killing? If all they are doing is killing zombies, it's going to get old fast.

Every episode can't be a masterpiece. The Sopranos had its off moments as well, but overall it was still worth watching no matter what.

Visions of your dead whore wife are one thing, but then becoming an emotional zombie and wandering around like you yourself are the walking dead is a bit melodramatic, no?

My main gripe against the storyline is The Governor and his fort that he built with his goons. Everything about him screams, "Hey, I'm the villain!" And now he's getting the fuckin' eyepatch which makes his character seem even cornier. It's just the way they have this city set up where people are walking around like it's the Best Place in The World, USA and then gather around for zombie fights on Friday nights to blow off steam is corny. Then they get scared when a gun battle erupts at the zombie fights and Andrea gives them a pep talk and they calm down in five seconds. And the Governor meanwhile is away brooding, still pissed that Michonne broke all the heads in the jars. Yeah, I realize the show is based on a comic book series, but still, this stuff takes it out of the "realistic" element for me.

The reason why the Governor subplot is so disappointing is that in the past they demonstrated that the show could present far more realistic villains. In Season 2 (I think) when Rick, Hershel and Glen got stuck in that bar and they were confronted by those sheisty dudes, to me those are the types of characters that would have been more effective villains because they seem more normal and you can imagine that these kind of people would be roaming around taking advantage of other people (as I recall, there was even the hint that these dudes would waste no time raping all the women they came across, something way more horrifying than staging Friday Night Zombie Fights, IMO).

Having said all this, the latest episode really delivered a big surprise in the last 10 minutes, when that prisoner dude was telling his story. That was a good scene.

But, overall, I still like the show.
I love the show but this right here is the straight up truth, then bullets are flying near him and he's standing like he's that invincible, I remember Gus did something somewhat similar but that's because he knew they were only trying to install fear in him.

At the moment they are getting the biggest audiences they ever has so they must be doing something right. You come in here and moan about the same shit every week, if it's so bad don't watch it. If you want a simple show with nothing but fighting every week go watch Power Rangers.

Come on, you knew they were coming back to save the day. Classic movie move, the good guy is down and lo and behold, the other character that left comes back to save the day.

I think these first 2 episodes have been real slow and it's making me wonder if they even have a direction of where they are going.

He also killed his best friend. Rick is also the leader and is looked up to, which I imagine is a stressful role to play in a "zombie apocalypse".

About Governor, I agree with you and Dominicano. The part where he gets shot at and he barely flinches and just smiles is too much. He's worse in the comic book though, believe it or not AMC watered him down for the series.

My friend has a theory that Rick is already a zombie. Don't ask me how he just does.

                    • This show sure is good at getting rid of every character I start to like.

Last ten minutes were exciting, rest of the show was not. Except for the trunk kill, that was nice. I expect the next few episodes to be a lot better.
