when does season 2 start?

April 1st on HBO.

Is each book going to be equivilant to 1 season, I.E, the second season will be based on the second book?

Yes. Season 2 will be based on Book 2.

Rumours are that the 3rd book (A Storm of Swords) will be split in to 2 seasons because so much happens in it.

I've just been through the first book, Ether.

I've had no time to start the second book. I'm kind of glad certain things took place at home now as I do want to read the second book now until the second season is over lol

Lady Merryweather sounds sexy too.

I wanna see how they depict Ygritte in the show, she was supposed to be average looking in the books but I reckon they'll cast somebody attractive.

I also like Asha Greyjoy's character, she has a good personality and is funny, and is also supposed to be attractive. Hopeful they cast a hottie as Asha.

Oh and I like Shae too. The woman that plays her is the show is sexy, especially her French accent!

I can't stand Shae......I despise when they even talk about her for some reason. and her show character is off from the book imo.

love the ygritte casting, not so much with melisandre, lady margery is good, brienne of tarth is a terrible cast per how the book reads, roose is too skinny,

not sure about the rattleshirt cast either
