In Minnesota, North & South Dakota, and Montana there are tens of thousands of untilled farming acreage that can be used to harvest all manner of sustenance. I have read in the past that there are millions of unused acreage throughout the USA. There is absolutely no valid basis for Malthusianism.

No need to worry there are all kinds of cool viruses and bacteria out there, theres bound to be a major outbreak of something sooner or later. I mean the more crowded the world becomes the more people exposed to the whatever it is. Losing half the world population could happen in a matter of days.
