Please don't crucify me. Just my personal list and I don't feel strongly about my order after 5.

I just know I left something out lol. I wanted to put the Beatsie Boys in there, but they're included in so many other genre's now I felt it was easier to leave them out.

I also realize that the list is a little biased towards the WU, but they had so much talent. I wanted to put Inspectah Deck in there, but oh well.

I tried to include a little of everything (NY, West coast, South)....

Don't shit on me too hard This is almost as hard as making a boxing list.

Why is Big L so far down that list?

      Jay-Z above Big L?

Idk... To be honest I don't have a good explanation for Big L being so low, but you can make a case for anyone from 11-19 to be higher than him. The explanation I do have for having Jay-Z so far up is that I always thought he was extremely talented and he and Nas are my all-time favorites. I think he get's shit on so much for being a "sell out" and as Nas put it, having that "Versace swag".

He's had some bad albums like the BP2, but his work on Reasonable Doubt, BP, The Black Album, and Vol 1-3 (with the exception of tracks like 'I Know What Girls Like'), really do it for me. He's got great flow, punchlines, and he can be complex when he wants to, but it's often overshadowed by his commercial success and themes.

Your list is your list brother. And the top five are interchangeable in my opinion so good job.

30's the new twenty is like my anthem. I walk into a grocery store or a club and that track starts bumping.
