Have you ever watched your pet die?

I remember a few years back, my dog was ill for a long time. She was breathing heavy, she sat down in her bed, and I stayed with her. She died very quickly. And then there was just silence....But then came this huge gasp from her, and her eyes focused on me, and her whole body moved.

Then, she was at peace. They say it's the last reach, or breath. It's freaky though.

But some pets are special though, and we never had another pet after she went. We had her for 12 years.
