If its done for profit, and based on the exploitation of people in the lower classes, its capitalism.

You have a utopian definition of it in your holster, but the practical application of capitalism as it stands right now is Wal Mart.

who declared war? a big exploiting company? no, the govt...

its not a company that went to war...

so its not capitalism, and even more to support my point, if the govt's war was induced by a corporation, that just shows how far it is from actual capitalism

just because the definitions dont fit your real life scenarios, doesnt mean you change the definitions

If you want to be technical, yes, the government declared the war. But the government is not in the business of making weapons munitions. Halliburton, KBR and others are. Who benefited from that war? Iraq? no. The U.S as a country? No. The private firms who did deals across the board?

          YES!!

How is it not capitalism? Maybe fascism/capitalism. Either way its no good.

I didn't change them. Profits are the imperative in pure capitalism. Thats exactly what I described. Wal Mart is capitalism unfettered.

          Tell me how I'm wrong?

Who cares who's dick it is?
I care..........because at least living here in the U.S you have freedoms you don't have in many other countries. I know this, I lived in Mexico for many years.

I saw the inherit corruption there, the way the banks control everyone and no matter how hard you work, you will never get ahead.

A story like Obama could never happen there. You couldn't be anyone but someone involved in the major party and get elected and if you managed to, you might be killed in broad daylight like it has happened before.

Again, I know the U.S isn't perfect, I am first in line to criticize Capitalism and the greed in breeds. At the same time, I would much rather be in a race that I have a chance to win, than be in a race where we all have to finish at the same time, when in reality I'm still forced to finish last.

how can you blame govt being bought and sold... and selling out the people who elected them, on capitalism?

corruption isnt a product of capitalism...

these problems you listed are results of corruption and bad govt...

a profit motive by politicians is not the same as a profit/loss economic system..

Come on mate, those campaign contributions aren't coming from the government.

                They're coming from private industry.

the point is, you have that kind of corruption regardless of what economic/political class you have... its not BECAUSE of capitalism..

take the govt out of the equation and you have no corruption, take capitalism out of it and you still have corruption...

There is no way to qualify this statement. Historically its the opposite.

Unless you can cite some time and place where capitalism worked for everyone in complete harmony.

                    Never happened.

You have absolutely NO understanding of capitalism, none whatsoever. Your statement is either insane or incredibly stupid.

Almost every war is about money. It's about modern day imperialism.

Imperialism is the highest stage of capitalism. It's the only way countries like the united states can continue to survive the way we do. It's done by both by economic exploitation or direct intervention or occupation (like Iraq for example).

Look at the IMF and the World Bank and what they do to the rest of the world, making the poorest of the poor countries pay back impossible loans with insane interest rates and rules & regulation that prevent those said countries to invest money into school, housing, infrastructure, the most basic needs, etc. It severely ******s growth. Look no further than Haiti. Look at Latin America as a whole. Look at Africa as a whole. You will see these areas hit the hardest by capitalism, imperialism and places that were purely raped for their land and resources. You will see democratically elected presidents assassinated or overthrown by the US (Salvador Allende for example).
