Scorsese for me. But honestly, Tarantino is a close second. Having Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction, Jackie Brown & Kill Bill on his resume makes it hard to deny how cold blooded dude is.

          Ridley Scott is the best.

          The Duellists (1977)
          Alien (1979)
          Blade Runner (1982)
          Thelma & Louise (1991)
          1492: Conquest of Paradise (1992)
          Gladiator (2000)
          Hannibal (2001)
          Black Hawk Down (2001)
          Matchstick Men (2003)
          Kingdom of Heaven (2005)
          American Gangster (2007)
          Body of Lies (2009).

I don't rate Jackie Brown and Kill Bill, very highly.

Spielberg’s vision and direction (keyword being vision) is unmatched and I doubt ever will be, second to (Michael) Nunn…

Kubrik, Hitchcock, Kurosawa & Scott sit beneath him and they to have unique visions and don’t really rely to much on brilliant story telling like so many over "greats" do…
